«It kills you to see them grow up. But I guess it
would kill you quicker if they didn`t» - Barbara
Kingsolver (1955-), American writer. Animal
Dreams (1991)
I think the important
message in this qoute is that parents always want their children to be theirs «little
daughter» or son, and eventhough it hurts them to see their children grow up
and have a life on their own, not needing their parents as much anymore, it
would hurt them more if their child died young. Because parents want their
children healthy, safe and happy.
So this qoute only
shows that parents care very much about their children and that is good,
because children need love from some they can look up to: their parents. And I
think if parents experience their childs death a part of them die to.
